Miracles Do Happen

http://www.life4seekers.co.uk/aplaceforgodinourworld/Miracles.html.
I am not sure what to make of this site, check it out and leave a comment, it is by CASE, the Catholic Agency to Support Evangelisation - which is a good thing.

Have you experienced or witnessed a miracle?

I was present when one took place in your Church, I think it can be described as a miracle. I was reminded by it reading about Fr Mark Elvins. He was preaching here one Sunday about sexual immorality, three gay guys got up to walk out. He paused, his face changed, he said, "Sit down because what I am saying will save your lives". Two sat down, the other left. The one who left was found two days later having been stabbed to death on the beach by his lover.
This was just posted in comments, I personally heard the story from Fr Mark himself. R Blake

Niklas's story seems quite typical, most of the healing stories I hear about seem to about the relieve of tension, back pains generally. Massage, warm baths also work.
I think he was just able to relax.

John,
I remember that.
I remember Fr Mark needed some money for the homeless, and either going to pray to at Canterbury or in front of a relic of St Thomas Becket and a huge cheque arriving in a couple of days.
I was thinking about Fr Mark after looking at that link to the "Noble Constantinian Order", which I think is plain silly. The extra-ordinary thing about Fr mark is that he is quite willing to be foolish for God, and he is willing to risk being foolish. I think we would have more miracles if we were willing to be foolish for God.

Come on bishops and priests, let's hsve a bit more folly.

During a recent homily a priest told an interesting story of Pope John Paul’s visit to the Baltimore area in 1995:

The Pope was scheduled for a quick trip by the local seminary. But even though it was not scheduled, he wanted to go in and pray at their chapel. So a security team and German Shepherd canine unit that was specially trained to find human beings - using their superior sense of smell, like the ones used after the September 11 attack to find people in the rubble - were sent to search for people hiding in the various rooms.

They searched the halls and rooms and found nothing, and then were sent into the chapel where the Pope intended to pray.

They sniffed in all the aisles and then came to the tabernacle which held the consecrated Hosts. The dogs sniffed and pointed, indicating that they sensed a human being present in the holy tabernacle, and would not leave until their handlers called them off.

This was witnessed by over ten security people.

I moderated the comment by John, he says he knew all the people concerned quite well, including the murderer.
I think all the facts became well known in the parish through the trial.

I suspect there might well have some outburst as well
