Mea culpa, mea culpa... I just have to hope that defacing a Pontifical portrait isn't an excommunicable offence!

Putting a stamp on an envelope upside is technically treason according to British law. I don't know about defacing pictures of Popes.

All I can say is I wouldn't like to be you on the Dies Irae, Mac. Quite a lot of Irae might becoming your way!

:-D I loved it. Did you see the movie MILLIONS a few years ago? One of the Saints who appeared as a vision to a young boy was a smoker.

BTW, Dr. Peter and I hope you will be able to be part of our Troika for our TLM nuptial Mass. It's going to be a compromise. You say the TLM facing the people and those in the congregation who'd rather not look at the priest can turn around. We do hope you're not all booked up for the spring/summer. Fr. Stephanos and my priest Msg. S will make up the other two, Fr. Tim we'd like as MC, Fr. John Boyle can give the sermon, and digihairshirt is bring her pastor to walk around at the reception and be mysterious - he and Nova can work in tandem. Fr. Z's personality is big enough to make up a whole choir. "operation Pyotr" is coming along nicely, if he hasn't gone to ground!

By the way : Father I like your blog very much. It is sincere and level-headed, and much appreciated.
