In the making

I had an email from Michael Sternbeck in Australia with a picture of a chasuble he is in the process of making for me for my jubilee. One of the advantages of the financial crisis is his prices are quite reasonable for us in the UK, and the USA too.

So if you want dress like ... contact Michael (nun not included).

There is more 'Eye Candy' on a new blog which has been linked from the NLM. It features beautiful photographs taken of various ceremonies in St Eugene-Ste Cecile a church in central Paris where the TLM is regularly celebrated.

In January this year the Parish Priest of this particular church was moved to Lyon and I did wonder what this would mean for the parish. Happily by the photographs it looks as if there are no changes. The interior of the church is magnificent and the vestments 'divine.' I have seen the Black and Gold worn during a Mass there. To see them in their proper place giving glory to God instead of in outdoor markets, is truly wonderful.

I should have added that Mgr Batut was appointed one of the Bishops in Lyon. I do hope he reinstates some of the traditional vestments there. The last time I watched part of a Mass from the Basilica on the internet, the priests wore vestments decorated in very large stars. They looked like wizards!!
