What a wonderful cathedral and in such a breathtaking setting. It's a jewel of a church - hopefully it will bring beauty to the lives of ALL the people of Algiers.
This was mentioned by the BBC on the Sunday programme. Presumably one could use the iplayer to listen. For all the faults of the Algerians it is good to see that they can have a Cathedral in their midst, a model for Muslims elsewhere. Thank you for the pictures.
Notre Dame d'Afrique, the cathedral of 99% Muslim Algiers has re-opened after 5 years restoration.
