some personal views
Thank you, Father, for the link to the talk which I enjoyed very much.
What a good boy.He seems like the kind of young men we need to turn things around.God be with him.*
If only our Catholic parish priests could evangelise like Voris, how different things would be. The Church would be reaching out to a new generations, instead of slowly declining.
I have not cared for the tone he takes in his Vortex videos. I found his lecture to be much less acerbic and a pleasure to listen to.
There are excellent parish priests out there, and it is very tiresome to see Voris - whose presentation was OK, but nothing earth-shattering - praised at their expense. By way of example, I encourage people to listen to some of the sermons at AUDIO SANCTO. They are superb.
"...If only our Catholic parish priests could evangelise like Voris, how different things would be. The Church would be reaching out to a new generations, instead of slowly declining...."That is what many of the Faithful thought of Martin Luther and all the other Heretics that have lead souls away from Truth.Priests are formed by the Mother of the Priest par excellance, Jesus Christ.Lay people are not.By the way, the Church does not decline, it is a perfect creation.Only Man's Faith declines.*
No one is denigrating priests, and neither should anyone denigrate the role of non-ordained to collaborate in bringing souls to Christ. St. Francis of Assisi was not a priest, and neither was St. Benedict--and yet you see what tremendous work they did in the harvest of souls. As to Luther, he was a confirmed heretic who rejected five of the seven sacraments and tore the Church asunder. Why he has any relevance in this discussion is beyond me. I think faithful Catholics are intelligent enough to discern when a man speaks truth and when he utters heresy.
