Naturally, now his cover is blown, The Tablet had to disown him.

They'll need to recruit a clean skin and train him/her in their classic disinformation techniques: slander, calumny and detraction, mistranslation, misquotation, misattribution, the art of praising the powerful, treating the scandalously heretical as if tacitly accepted, fomenting intrigue, stirring up hatred; and damning the good, the devout and the orthodox - all well-known specialities of this now rather elderly, sclerotic and irritable journal.
