I am sure some join and some leave - all monasteries have that - would be wrong if they didn't. They have four men in formation and a friend of mine wants to join but has been asked to wait, so all in all good news. Let's pray they find a good benefactor.

DavidAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31069882.post-27745021691350908752008-02-23T21:19:00.000+00:002008-02-23T21:19:00.000+00:00Didn't they close a church/community in Manchester...Didn't they close a church/community in Manchester two years ago and lose/disperse some men? I attended Mass at Corpus Christi Basilica, Miles Platting on a chance visit to Manchester for a meeting on the Feast of Corpus Christi a year or so before the feast was summarily translated to a following Sunday.

Miles Platting was some way from where my meeting was held, but for some unexplained reason I decided to go to Mass there. What a divine moment. Quarant Ore was to start that day and the floor of the basilica was covered with a carpet of flowers. At the time there were two young novices there. Please God this great order will get moroe vocations - and rooms to house them in their new home.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
