I was at the 1st international joint USA/Aussie meeting in Rome in January 2010 at which a push was made to try and get the British franchise (!) off the ground.

I have to correct one thing in your post though. I am fairly sure that the Australian Confraternity was a child of the original Confraternity of Catholic Clergy that began in the USA. Both the USCCC and the ACCC were founded as a response to the dawning realisation that the other peak clergy organisations in our countries did not represent the views of many priests and were very critical of the Holy Father.

Congratulations on this very positive step for the clergy of Great Britain.

Fr. They did and do not.

Anthony BidgoodAnthony Bidgoodnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31069882.post-51437388158734668412011-03-25T22:34:23.289+00:002011-03-25T22:34:23.289+00:00I am very pleased that this has happened. I pay a modest sum to the ACCC and, although I am not invited to attend their conventions, I do receive their magazine "The Priest" and I do support them with my prayers.JARayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18138004129894177863noreply@blogger.com
