Pray for Richard, our Bishop

I am very pleased that we have a new Bishop of our diocese, and even more pleased that it is  Mgr Richard Moth, the Bishop of the Forces.
"So let bells be wrung and a solemn Te Deum sung'

Pray for Richard, our Bishop, there is a great deal of work to be done

Is our new Bishop a friend of orthodoxy in the Catholic faith? Where do we sign up for boot camp?

Well, you have chosen a fine Te Deum which certainly exudes a joyful sound. I am glad for you and for the Diocese.

Sounds like a good name a bishop in Sussex to have.

A pedant writes: Err, Father, "wringing" bells would require a rather strong grip!

Hope all goes well with the new boss. IMO, those military priests are straight shooters in the best sense of the phrase.

If the picture's any guide, he wears his pectoral cross inside the chasuble. A small thing, but telling.

This is a surprisingly quick appointment. The last two BOTFs have both now been "promoted" to provincial Sees. This seems disrespectful. Why aren't Southwark auxilaries ever considered?

I don't know much about Bishop Moth but apparently he is very keen on "all night" vigils!
