A BBC Must See

Image result for "kill the Christians" bbc
I've been away for a few days, and trying to catch up. Some of my parishioners who still own a television told me about a BBC documentary on persecuted Christians, 'Kill the Christians', I have seen a few minutes of it, it seems pretty good, you can see it too on-line.

Father, sadly, that video is not available to watch in the States.

Thanks for the link, however.

The Coptic Pope declared the new martyrs formally as such. Here is the link, which is also on my blog.

I stumbled across the programme whilst contemplating going out, and was glad that I stayed in; it is high time that the BBC woke up to the fact that Christians in the Middle East are being persecuted. Since the horrendous killings of the Egyptian Copts in February, others have taken place. In the most recent act of barbarity, a Muslim man died alongside an Ethiopian Christian friend, whose place he apparently offered to take.

I completely agree with the Coptic Pope's declaration of these Christians as martyrs. I am also heartened that the Holy Father has referred to them as such.

However, what greatly saddens me is that the SSPX says these brave men cannot be martyrs because they were "manifest heretics"; however, the Society does hold out the possibility - possibility mind you - that they may have been granted eternal life. Truly, my opinion of the SSPX has decreased. Here are the links:
