The Church in 2008
The Church at Christmas Midnight Mass
This is how the Church was the week before Christmas, it shows the lighting brackets.
One of things that seems to be popular is our 10.30 Sunday Mass which we have started celebrating ad orientem, the numbers have gone up quite noticeably
We were talking about Candlemas earlier today and watching this old video, everything seems to have improved, not just the Church but our serving, our choir, everything - except my singing.
Incidently, have a Candlemas Missa Cantata, with procession, this year, at 7.30pm. I think this video was taken the year the roads were impassable with snow - say a prayer for this years.

In America, you would be more hated than a certain U.K. Bishop under 'House Arrest' for celebrating this Mass.
You would be labeled a conspiracy theorist, madcap, and a sedevacantist, among others.
Oh.
Also a schismatic.
Liberalism is always tolerated, to the nth degree.
Truth is always considered a rant.
How can you tell which is right?
The one that traces its roots back through Tradition.

Dear Father
I think the sanctuary arrangement is wonderful. Just one observation. Would it be possible to remove the front of the old High Altar to be the front of the free standing altar?

Monica,
That is our intention but first we need to raise money.
God made Light before He created the Sun.
That light is His Ethereal Presence.
Even were He to command His Angels to extinguish the Sun, the light of His Ethereal Presence would still shine upon us.
So too with the Mass of All Times and Tradition and Truth.
When it comes to these, they are not reviving or changing; they have always been there.
It takes a mighty Priest of God to wipe away man's sinfulness that they be exposed for all to see.
They will damn or they will save.
We pray you are given more graces and blessings that you may one day restore England, the Dowry of our Holy Mother, to it's rightful glory.
Ave Maria, purissima!

The best thing that can happen is when in the 70s the priest who massacred the church feels guilty and keeps the old altar in the cellar. That's the case in the parish i'm in at the moment.
But yes Fr Blake, a huge and wonderful improvement to the sanctuary and lovely to see even the OF being celebrated the right way round!!! Things are changing: the Oxford Oratory have decided to do the same for their main high Mass on a sunday in the OF.
Deo Gratias! and thank you!
Fr AS,
To avoid further confusion I have removed the comments.
C'mon Father, take a deep breath and put the altar rails back. I sm sure you could fit them nicely in the space between the Christmas tree and the 'president's chair'. It really would set the sanctuary off nicely and make it instantly more Catholic again. Great job so far - but just one extra lttle step. I would even send you a donation.
