How wonderful! I wish we could have been there!
Where to begin? Smells and bells, wonderful liturgy, beautiful music, choir on top form, pithy sermon, MC and servers in discreet choreography, an altar BOY, packed church, huge turnout of male worshippers. Most of all, palpable reverence and the quiet intimacy of minds and hearts focusing on the central sacrifice.
I think this celebration of the Mass will stay with all of us for a long time to come.
"That was the real thing," a somewhat dazed Catholic convert said to me afterwards. He nailed it.

Fr,
Happy 150th Anniversary of your parish-wonderful photographs!
Michael.
Looks like it was a fantastic occasion. Wish I could have been there. God bless all your endeavours, Fr Ray.
Dear Fr Ray,
All looks very splendid. I hope you enjoyed every minute of it as a reward for all your hard work and all that you do.
Fr Simon.
The red vestments look fab in the photos! A little sad that I wasn't in Brighton for this but very happy for you and all those who worked so hard Father Ray. And Happy 150th, St Mary Magdalen's! x
I wish I was one of your parishioners, what a beautiful church!
Congratulations Father Ray. I wish I had been there! Fraternal blessings.
