Porn for Schools? No a Learning Resource!

I think this is pornographic, it is taken from the Channel 4 series, 'Living And Growing'. It is a learning resource for Primary schools. Playing "Mummies and Daddies" is going to take on a whole new dimension under Mr Balls' bill.

LIVING AND GROWING DVD
All three units and the INSET programme for the Living and Growing series are now available on a single DVD. This includes gently introducing sex education to younger children, through puberty and birth, to media images, same-sex relationships and teenage pregnancy.
.......
•Challenges beliefs
•Positive attitudes, values and behaviour
•Skills for effective communication, loving, caring and happy relationships
Well, of course we know every teacher is competant, caring, sensitive and relates to children on level appropriate to their emotional development, just like this Scottish teacher in holocaust role play game. Apply the same insight into sex education and everyone will be a happy bunny!

So sign the petition and get your friends to do so.

Sex education for primary schools - courtesy of Channel 4, of all people!

I thought I'd have a look at more, so I followed the link to You Tube. Here's the message I got:

Did I miss any reference to 'marriage' or even a 'long term relationship' in that film?

It is far too much information far too soon for little ones. Children are naturally curious but questions come gradually as they grow up when they can be answered appropriately. I too cannot see any difference between this film and porn both of which would introduce children far to early to the 'birds and the bees.'

There used to be a joke about a small child asking the inevitable question to his or her mother 'where do I come from.' The mother uses the opportunity to tell all in as simple a form as possible. When she has finished the child says 'That's odd, my friend said she came from Scunthorpe!.'

Children must be allowed to remain children until they are ready to receive such information preferably from their parents which may vary according to the child. As Fr Ray says 'playing mummies and daddies' will be taking on a new meaning in the future if children are subjected to such films.

I feel ill.
The catholic primary school that my two older sons attended used this video. At the parents viewing I asked the young male teacher who was taking questions "why does my 10 year old son need to be taught how to stimulate a womans cl****is in order to give her s*xual pleasure?"
He went puce and couldn't answer. There was a silence in the room and i think everyone was embarrassed that I had used that language, even though it was the language been used in the film intended for young children.
Then another teacher who is a nun stepped forward and said " I know, I know, but they talk about these things in the playground" ( OK! So lets imagine that they do, how exactly is it helpful to have the tecahers themselves falling over themselves to encourage and heartily endorse such talk?)

When I asked where the place was for catholic teaching about marriage she said that they do talk about that at the end, and then she added most patronisingly that "many families do not have two married parents you know".
( "Really?" I thought "I'm a midwife. I think I'm well aware of that, but this is after all supposed to be a catholic school and you are supposed to be a catholic nun." But being considerably younger then and encountering all this for the first time, I was less ready to speak my thoughts than I am now)
I just kept my children at home over the days that the film was being shown.

I home educate now and would never, barring some calamity, God forbid, send my children to primary school again.
My husband wants to continue to send the boys to secondary school. Interestingly, the Catholic secondary school we send our boys to doesn't do this sort of sex ed at all. As far as I am able to glean ( from the school and from what my sons tell me themselves) they just cover human reproduction in biology. Of course, if the excellently named Mr Balls has his way this will have to change.

Our local catholic girls secondary school is the one my nieces attend in West London. I used to go there too back in the day when giving the kind of information that today passes for 'empowerment' and 'choices' would be regarded as a criminal offence. They include flavoured condom tasting and putting condoms on a model in their sex ed lessons.
Our daughters are still very young, but we are working on the assumption that they will be home schooled until sixth form.

thank you for drawing attention to this issue.

I can't see how any Catholic could consider voting Labour with this sort of offensive rubbish being peddled.

Conservative all the way for me.

Ohhhh! That is just horrible!

Don't bet on it, Angry of Brighton.

The Conservatives are no less out, proud and gay than any of the other parties.

One thing that is guaranteed os that every Government of this country since Callaghan has been consistently more wicked than its predecessor.

This is outrageous propaganda to influence the outcome of the General Election. The Trick-Cyclists & Comic-Singers are pulling out all the stops.

If anybody thinks the other BARMY LOT are going to do any differently then they are barking up a Gum-Tree.

We should all know by now who is actually running this country, and it certainly isn't the elected Government. Two out of Three do not bother to vote because it is easier to get what you want by Blackmail & Terrorism as practised by these groups.

The Press and all the other Media has been so corrupted that it's a wonder any of us know what day it is.

Clare@battlementsofrubies refers to a laid-back, with-it, liberated nun with a hankering for sex-ed.

For obvious reasons you can't defrock a dangerously dissident nun. But you can truss her up in a burqa and tell her to shut up!

Absolutely horrible.

I think Pelerin and Clare are quite right. The problem here is two-fold: that schools and the state are usurping the role of parents and that sex education is given in a moral vacuum.

And, notwithstanding my utter contempt for the modern Labour Party, I fear that Michael and Nick are also correct - none of our mainstream political parties can be trusted to be any better.

I would rather not preach politics on this forum, but might I just suggest that faithful catholics should not vote on party lines this May, but inform themselves as to the character and policies of their candidates, and vote accordingly?

Mr. Angry might like to know that on that basis I shall not be voting for the Labour party incumbent in my constituency. So far, I am undecided on the topic of the Tory parachutist.

If people are thinking about the next general election - and as Catholics concerned to restore all things in Christ we should be - then it may be good to refer to www.cpexposed.com

This details an organisation called Common Purpose and how it is changing British politics from within in a clandestine manner.

This may help people to understand a little more about what is happening to our country before our very eyes.

A movement does seem to be beginning to resist such subterfuge. However, it would appear to be influenced, by some people within it, who mean well but are looking to 'alternative spiritualities' to conquer evil.

Surely this is an area that all Catholics concerned for the truth should be investigating?

It is certainly rich mission territory to souls out there who care very much for the truth and yet are mislead on how to find its source.

The best MP we have ever had in Brighton Pavilion is David Lepper,we now have a female PPC of the Labour Party, unfortunately from my point of view is vegetarian but the alternative GREEN,UKIP or other assorted nuts are only in it to feather their own nests and not to be trusted.

Brighton voters will have to keep their wits about them,it is not the Labour Party that is destroying this country but the dodge-pots & single issue activists.

The diabolical "sex education tape"goes beyond the pale but this is not the fault of the Labour Party but the malcontent "taliban" activists.

In my day, feathers in a sex-ed class just meant the "birds and bees".

Nickbris -If it is not the Labour Party which is destroying this country then who is passing the laws, who is providing the government? A few single issue cranks do not provide a majority to pass a bill into law. Mr Balls, Mistress Harman are not solitary cranks they are Ministers of the Crown with the full backing of the rest of the Cabinet. Mr Lepper votes with them, indeed he has very very rarely ever rebelled against his party. On Moral issues the Christian Institute site provides a clear account of how each MP voted.

I regret the passing of the old decent Labour Party of Attlee, Cripps and those influenced by Christianity, indeed I belonged to it, but it is dead.
