Anyone here in Brighton able to give emergency accomodation to a young Fillipino women, she's 5 months pregnant, just been thrown out by her boy friend, talking about an abortion. She is on her way here, with £3 in her purse.
I've tried ringing the Life office, its shut.
We don't seem to have emergency accomodation in our city.

She is in my thoughts and prayers this evening. May the light of Christ fill her heart and the angels stand guard over her and the child. God has brought her to you for a reason,Father, and you will not let her down.
There is more than one LIFE office, Fr Ray. In fact, there are several. After you've rung them and found them shut you can ring me and she can stay here. Rather than leave my number here for any old nutter to ring, I'll leave it on your ansaphone. OK ?
It's a bit of trek but I'll pay the train fare.

Thanks to Bernardette and others who have phoned but really need to find her help in Brighton.
I've emailed you - it's a long shot but try.
As a Filipino priest here in the USA, I thank you for Fr. Blake for your kindness and charity. I have also another Filipina whom I helped with the same case, I referred her to other Filipino parishioners for temporary shelter (she was pregnant & physically abuse) and finally to St. Ann's infant & maternity home.
Call SPUC immediately. They have all the necessary connections around the country to find someone to look after her. Also, call the Good Counsel Network. That's their job and they're really good at it. I imagine also that the Franciscans of the Immaculate or the Franciscans of the Renewal would know someone in your neighbourhood This is really a job for the pro-lifer network. Get plugged into it.
It works too. Last year, I got an email from a friend here in Rome who had received an emergency text message from someone in North Carolina who had been contacted by a young woman whose family was pressuring her to have an abortion. From Rome, we got in touch with a priest friend in N.C. and he found a family who was willing to put the young woman up and offer assistance with medical bills. By the end of the working day in Rome, she and her family had been contacted by our priest friend and had changed their minds after counselling. The pro-lifer grapevine really works.
