Hardly surprising. Ushaw lost it's sound reputation a couple of generations ago.
When I first saw this advert from the bishops' Conference, I was wary.
I share your concerns on that post, Father. It could be a good idea, but it smacks more of an attempt at indoctrination into the sometimes-perverse ways of parish life in the liberal UK, than a welcome.
Odd that this sort of things was not needed many years ago when we welcomed priests of all sorts of foreign origin to our parishes.
No need the worry. From what I've heard I think the poles know the score.
It's beyond "uggh" it goes toward diabolical perversion of the truth!
To be fair (and I am not often inclined to be fair to Ushaw), the picture is actually from a summer gathering of Methodists that took place at St Cuthbert's College.
