Thanks for the clips Fr ray..he's so inspiring..
I did not realize his Mom was still alive, bless her heart!
How absolutely edifying and inspiring.
We should pray for his intercession; both here in the USA and in Europe, I'm afraid we have a wave of persecution getting worse and worse.
The martyrs are such wonders; may we have the grace to be faithful unto death.
Thanks Father - was delighted to hear he was made a "Blessed" - I've always admired him. I can remember how sick to my stomach I was when I'd heard he'd been killed. This has been a long time in coming.
Father I just saw the film from the 80s "To Kill a Priest" around Christmas. I'd never seen it before. I was always drawn to Father Jerzy and the story of his martyrdom. I remember reading a book about him in the 80s but don't recall the name. He seemed to embody what a priest is ultimately called to do. I've asked his intercession in regards to my own late vocation. Father Jerzy pray for us!
Great news, thank you, Father!
It's extraordinary that Father Jerzy's story has been told. It would seem that most accounts of modern martyrdom do not:
