ROMA, August 14, 2006 – In an exclusive interview broadcasted yesterday in Germany, pope Benedict XVI addressed issues of marriage and family, world peace and intercultural dialogue as well as the future of the Catholic Church. Pope Joseph Ratzinger's interview with broadcasters ARD-Bayerische Rundfunk, Deutsche Welle, ZDF and Vatican Radio was held at his summer residence at Castel Gandolfo on August 5, 2006. The interview was conducted in German and translated by the Vatican. Here the complete English transcript:
