Cardinal Burke Interview
Gloria TV has this very interesting interview with Cardinal Burke, in it he speaks about how to combat abortion in Europe: like the Pope he suggests an appeal to the Natural Moral Law. He talks about the effect of seeing an ultrasound scan has on those women who contemplating an abortion.
He also talks about the EF and the reception of Holy Communion.

To be honest...I don't think abortion will end in Europe...until Europe has been Islamised. That will be when proaborts have run their course, have aged and their aborted children have been replaced by higly fertile Islamic immigrants.
The grip abortion has on people is just too strong....and demonic. Of course...Catholicism could rise to the challenge of Islamisation...and that too could end legalised abortion. But secularists will never surrender the 'right to choose'. They would rather go to the wall first...and they will. Abortion will be the death of them. But what or who will fill the vacuum?!
louella, Europe will not be islamised anytime soon. In fact Iran now has a lower birth rate than many European countries.
Hit the nail on the head Iouella - less inter-faith dialogue and more concerted effort on restoring Christendom and the Social Reign of Christ the King by encouraging large families and imploring the conversion of the Muslims through the Holy Rosary and graces that come through the traditional mass.

Abortion isn't going to be made legal in Europe anytime soon, but I am heartened by the fact that the European Court of Human Rights does NOT see legal abortion as a right, and that there are some significant restrictions on abortions even in countries like Germany and France.
That's more than what we have in the United States, where abortion is virtually unregulated and established in our law as a sacred constitutional right. Not a surprise that our abortion rate is much higher than in Western Europe.

The abortion picture in Europe and particularly in the UK does look pretty bleak. However in the USA the Pro-Life movement does seem to be making progress despite having Obama as the most pro-Choice President. I suppose the inhabitants of the USA are more religious than over here but also the pro-Life movement has the firm support of the Bishops which it lacks here in the UK when it actually comes to doing anything positive vide Cormac and the Hospital of St John & St Elizabeth. Indeed their ex-lackeys are only too ready to call anyone who takes an orthodox line a Taliban Catholic.
