Pope on the Priesthood
Priesthood is a transfer of ownership: to be taken from the world and given to God, however "it is not segregation. The priest is available to others, to everyone. This is what Benedict XVI said during the Chrism Mass in St. Peters Basilica with the attendance of more than 1600 priests of the diocese of Rome.During the homily and before the ritual of the renewal of the priestly promises and the blessing of the oils rituals which make this celebration unique Benedict XVI spoke of Christs institution of the priesthood during the Last Supper. Sanctify them in the truth, your word is truth, this was Jesus prayer for his disciples, as well as the words that the young Joseph Ratzinger read on the eve of his own ordination.

Priests are God's gift to mankind.
How could any of us get to Heaven without our Priests administering the Holy Sacraments and thereby allowing God's Grace into our souls.
Thank you to ALL our Catholic Priests. May God Bless you abundantly. Rest assured that you are loved and prayed for daily!
A Holy and Happy Easter to all.
THE LORD IS RISEN!
