Looking at the sitemeter this morning I noticed I had a visitor from Kazakhstan. It is a bit a difficult to keep track of who comes and goes I only get to see the last hundred visitors, most are from the the UK, or Europe, quite a few from North America, not that many from Africa but Kazakhstan is a bit exotic.

It's not so unusual - I visited this blog weekly last year from Afghanistan when serving with the British Army. Please keep all our troops in your prayers.
I am not sure how accurate these meters are. One or two blogs show arrivals and departures and so I can see my own entry and exit sometimes recorded as Isle of White and sometimes as somewhere else in England.
I am in the Channel Islands so closer to France than the UK.
David - rest assured our troops in the Middle East remain firmly in our prayers. Thanks be to God that there are young men and women prepared to give all so that others may live in freedom and be free of tyranny and oppression regardless of race or creed. This is what makes Great Britain so special - that we actually care.
My own son currently at University is in the TA and can't wait to graduate so he can enlist with the Royal Marines.
I will be a proud Dad indeed the day he earns the honour of wearing the Lion and Crown badge.

The latest mailing from Aid to the Church in Need had a special report on all the great things the small Catholic community of Kazakhstan is doing.
Poles were deported and dumped in Kazakhstan courtesy of the Soviets during WWII. Perhaps it is a faithful Pole.
Yes David and George the troops are in my prayers too, but George are you serious? How can any sane person imagine that "we" are bringing freedom to anyone, especially in the middle(and further)East. Our young people are being / have been used for the last 62 years as cannon fodder in the latest round for world domination. Have you got your head completely buried in the sand? Do you not know the statistics for homelessness, etc. for ex-military? Do you not listen to the popes on war? Get rid of the rose-tinted glasses before your son is just another statistic!
