Jordanana<< the Transitus of a saint is their passing from this life to the next. ST Benedict passed away on march 21st (534?537) which was a Saturday as well. This is his Feast day (old Calendar) and is kept still today in Solemnity by Abbeys/Monasteries that follow the Rule of S.t Benedict, worldwide. Another well known Transitus Feast is that of St. Francis.
