LOL What a whimp. No problem blessing the horse but note the "firm custody of the hands" when faced with the bull.
Father-you have an award and virtual marmite awaiting on my blog.
I always enjoy these blessing of the animals type little rituals. Even some protestants have picked up doing this from us.
I never know who is more delighted. The Priest who blesses the animal, the animal's owner(s), the people watching, or the animal itself. :-D
Ditto, it's fun to watch when one person wants their car blessed. It's like eating potato chips. I guarantee that unless done in the dead of night with no one else possibly around, MORE than one car will be blessed. "Hey, mine too Father!" In the case of these blessings I'm ALL for Latin all the time. The new ritual blessing book is Lame, LAme, LAMe, LAME.
Where's all that business about the Ethiopian Eunuch sitting in his chariot in the new ritual book? NOT TO BE FOUND.
I've seen pet and "working animal blessings before" but never a rooster.

BTW Father, meant to say I did put your name forward to nextcardinal@yahoo.com. As Father Boyle said "remember me when you come into your kingdom."
So if you get any phone calls from the Vatican....don't be surprised. Ask and ye shall receive and all that.
