The Pope's Private Mass

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/Thanks to Pelerin who supplied the reference for this.

Pope John Paul II was often shown saying his private mass this is only the second time I have seen a video of Benedict XVI, both Pope's of course celebrate facing ad Deum.

The link is not working. I don't think any Pope has ever celebrated Mass versus populum in his private chapel.

I'm shaken to the core. He does not wear a proper girdle, nor does he perform the synaxis at the legilium. Not much doing the red and saying the black here. And unhabited nuns in the congregation. What an example! I have become a sede vacantist on the spot.

I wish Nickname would not be so quick to attack the pope. This video has been circulating for at least a year if not a bit more; it now seems to have disappeared from the internet. I am fairly sure it comes from very early in the pontificate and I wonder if things might look quite different today. Also I remember that what he calls unhabited nuns were at the time described clearly as household staff. For all we know they may be secretaries, typists, etc.
