I thought there was some talk about a decade or so ago that the Orthodox and the Catholics were going to pull it together to all celebrate Easter on the same day. What's happening with that? Or did it fall through?

I think that it is only the Eastern Churches which celebrate Easter according to the Julian calendar. It is unlikely that Latin Rite Catholics and all Protestants would return to calculating Easter from the Julian calendar.
As I recall, most of the "give" was on the ORthodox side.
