Saint Pio is displayed in the Madonna delle Grazie Church in San Giovanni Rotondo. Tens of thousands of pilgrims converged 24 April in the southern Italian village to witness the first public display of Padre Pio's exhumed remains. Padre Pio who died 40 years ago.

Amazing photo..
Is it just me that finds this whole business of exhuming a holy persons remains at dead of night a trifle unedifying.Apparently,the relics of 'The Little Flower'are once more on tour.Would it not be better if sacred relics were permanently reserved in their own diocesan reliquary?
